A report having circulated in Charleston that orders had been issued prohibiting the destruction of cotton or rice, in danger, I falling into the hands of the enemy, the Courier contradicts it, and says:‘"The commanding officers at all of the exposed points on our coast have received positive instructions to burn or destroy all property which cannot be conveniently taken away, and is likely to be seized by the enemy"’ Courier
