Manufacture of percussion caps.

--At the Bridesburgh arsenal, in Philadelphia, there are not less than 180,000 percussion caps manufactured daily. Sixty sheets of copper are thus consumed, weighing three pounds. It is estimated that a sheet, which costs one dollar, will yield 2,240 caps. Fourteen thousand caps may be filled from a pound of fulminating powder.
