C. S. District Court.

--The following matters occupied the attention of this court yesterday: Chatard, R. Snowden Andrew, R Lindsay Walker, &c., vs. the schooner Virginia Washington, and the same vs. the ship Fairfax; ordered that the cause be continued to Dec. 22d, and the usual notice be given by publication. An order was entered for the sequestration and sale of property in the hands of Francis L. Smith, Receiver, belonging to Isaac Brooks and Moses Cummings, alien enemies.

The trial of John R. Hughes, for passing counterfeit Treasury notes, is to take place to-day.
