Augusta, Dec. 5.

--The Savannah Republican, of this morning, says that a party of Confederates visited Tybee on Wednesday night and burned the light-house. The Federal vessels commenced a fierce shelling on the Island, but the Confederates retreated unhurt.

Sixteen or eighteen vessels were in the roads yesterday afternoon, and all apparently were old whalers.
