--Five o'clock P. M.--The fire has been raging all day, and thousands of houseless persons are huddled in groups about the city.
A special train left Augusta, this afternoon, with provisions and other necessaries for the sufferers here.
The Mills Houses is now in flames, and there has been great destruction to-day.
The raging fire still continues its desolating sway.
