--The extensive rumor of yesterday, ‘"brought by the conductor of a sick train,"’ of a bloody fight among the Yankees
was greedily swallowed by nine-tenths of our inhabitants, and a good-sized crowd assembled at the Central
depot last evening to see ‘"the prisoners."’ The train came in, but no Yankees came out, and the citizens of Richmond
reluctantly concluded that they had been ‘"sold."’ Not an uncommon thing now-a-days.
