The Harmoneans and the Charleston sufferers.
--The proceeds of the concert lately given by Wells
and Company, at Metropolitan Hall, for the benefit of the sufferers by the conflagration in Charleston, S. C.
, amounted to $111.57. The Harmoneans
are always ready to respond to any call in behalf of benevolence or patriotism, and meanwhile continue to keep the people in the best of humor by their rich and racy representations.
Metropolitan Hall has come to be a great popular resort, which we do not wonder at, since those who go there are sure of ample compensation, to say nothing of the beneficial effects of music and fun in driving away melancholy.
