A Needed Regulation.

--One of the police officers has been ordered by the Mayor to attend at the ‘"Varieties,"’ on Franklin street, each night of a representation, and bring before him, or cause to leave the premises, all small boys found lettering around the doors. The functionary alluded to, said very truly that the ‘"Varieties"’ was no place for the assembling of boys of tender years; where evil communication would be sure to corrupt good manners. Boys in charge of their parents or friends will not be molested, of course.
