, of the night-watch
, has reported to the Mayor
that a general riot and fight occurred on Monday night at the house of Bernard Tracy
, on 17th street, and that in the melee that ensued Patrick Bradley
and James Turpin
were stabbed.--The wounded being soldiers, were sent to one of the hospitals.
The affair will be inquired into when they sufficiently recover to attend court as witnesses.
P. S.--Since writing the above we learn that the parties wounded each other.
One received a painful gash in the breast, and the other had his elbow joint out off. Both wounds were severe.
