Death of an Officer.

--Capt. Mark Welsh, of the Mecklenburg Rifles, (Company F, 10th regiment Virginia volunteers,) died on the 25th of February, after a brief illness, while absent from his camp on furlough. The members of his company remaining near Manassas, on hearing of his demise, passed a series of resolutions bearing testimony to his bravery and patriotism, his kindness and amiability of character.
