Death of a State officer.

--The Public Library, and Auditor's and officers in the basement of the Capitol, were closed on yesterday, in consequence of the death of William A. Honcure, Esq., Second Auditor of the State, which sad event took place on the 12th inst., at Ederslie, his home, in Caroline county, Va. Mr. Moncure was in the 57th year of his age, a brother of Judge Moncure, of the Supreme Court of Appeals, and a capable and vigilant official, and urbane and courteous gentleman.
