"Personal."

The advertisement, published yesterday under the head of "personal," reflecting upon the motives of Capt. Greenlee Davidson, was brought in at a late hour, and inserted without the knowledge of the editors or the proprietors of this paper. If it is necessary to dinecessary to disclaim any responsibility for matters which appear in an advertisement, we do it with pleasure. We shall henceforth endeavor to guard the paper against any "personals" which might by any possibility detract from its dignity.
