--Mr David Collins, a brick layer, residing in Salem.
N. C., fell from the scaffolding of a chimaty he was engaged in erecting a short distance from town on Tuesday last, and was almost instantly killed.
He had nearly finished the work when he fell, his head striking a stone or other hard substance, and fracturing his skull in such a manner that he died in fifteen minutes.
