--The Lynchburg Virginian, of Friday, says: ‘
We learned from soldiers who arrived by the Orange train last night that a part of General Ewell's forces crossed the mountain Wednesday, and a part on Thursday.
They have, ere this, formed a junction with Gen. Jackson, and an early attack on Banks's forces is expected.
This is thought to be the purpose of our Generals. ’
