Ran away--$100 reward.

--From Sherwood, (the late residence of Roger B. Athinson, dec'd, in Lunenburg county, Va.,) on Sunday, the 20th of April, 1862, a Negro named Arch, between 17 and 18 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, of black color, and pleasant countenance.--He went off dressed in linsey frock coat vest, and pants, black slouch hat, and coarse-boots, worn through the winter. He and other slaves were removed from the county of Londoun to Sherwood early in March last, and Arch was doubtless on his way back to that county. He was arrested and lodged in jail on the 23d of last month at Hanover C. H. In company, however, with two other negroes and two white men (the two white men charged with felony,) all confined in the same room, Arch escaped from jail about the first day of this month.

One hundred dollars will be paid by me for the apprehension and delivery of said Negro in some jail so that I get him again, besides all reasonable expenses. My address is Non Intervention P. O., Lunenburg county, Va.

my 29--12t* Sanford J. Ramey.
