Casualties of the battles, &c.

We earnestly request adjutants and sur of regiments engaged in the battles of Saturday and Sunday to send in lists of their killed and wounded. Very many inquiries have been received from Alabama and other States regarding the casualties in certain regiments. Yesterday telegrams were received asking for the 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th Alabama, and especially for those companies from Mobile and its vicinity. It would be erring a great favor upon many anxious hands to hand in the lists for publication, and also that they may be telegraphed South.

M. B. Hickok, company D, 11th Virginia; W. H. Moore, company I, 12th Miss.; C. W. Hather company D, 5th Ala., all wounded in Saturday's battle, are at the residence of Major R. S. Archer, corner of Franklin and 6th streets. They are doing well.

We learn that the battalion of heavy artillery lately stationed at Gloucester Point were considerably used up in the fight of Saturday. Lieut. Col. Otsy was killed. Lieut. Baytop, while gallantly leading his man, was shot through the leg and had to be taken from the Whilst lying in an oak grove another struck him in the stomach, giving him a mortal wound. Private F. J. Bridges was killed. T. C. Ence, John A. Bridges, and Jones were wounded. Twenty-five others at the battalion are missing.
