--Captain Aston Madeira, of the 2d Kentucky regiment, who, with his entire company, was taken prisoner at Fort Donelson, has escaped from Columbus, Ohio, and is now safe in Canada, where he was received, and whence he writes that he will soon had find his way back to his duties in the South.
He states that he has more friends and money than he ever had in his life.
