Up to last night forty-eight prisoners of war had arrived in this city, as the proceeds of the fight below Richmond on Wednesday. On the night of that day twenty-five Hessians, mostly belonging to the 20th Indiana, including Capt. McClernand, of the 7th New Jersey, were brought in. Yesterday twenty-three more were brought in. Of this number thirteen were desperately wounded. Three of the number, viz: N. Bunnell, co. A, 20th Indiana; W. McCullock, co. K, do.; and Thos. Prenty, co. G. do., had lost each a leg on the battle-field.
