Office of the Piedmont R. R. Co., Richmond, June 17, 1862.

to Refugees and others having Negroes to hire.--The railroad from Danville to Greensboro about to begin construction on a large scale, and requires a numerous force of laborers, as well as overseers of experience who can come well recommended.

The price of $10 per month will be paid for the best hands, and in proportion for inferior once.--They must be supplied with clothing by their owners, and when delivered to the Company must be provided with one week's rations of food, for which rations due allowance will be made in the first monthly settlement.

Payments will be made monthly in cash.

Overseers accompanying parties of hands will be given the preference over others, if otherwise satisfactory.

The hands may be delivered to the agents at any of the depots on the Danville R. R., or at Greensboro, N. C., after the 25th inst.

Mules, and a proportionate number of are wanted immediately for the construction of the Piedmont Railroad from Danville, Va., to Greece N. C. The highest market will be paid three which pass our inspection, if delivered at an early day. Apply at the office of the Richmond and Railroad Company, other at the town of Danville.
