This regiment went into action with 185 muskets, and was gallantly led by its brave
Col. Eppa Hunton, who had just returned the day before the engagement from a severe spell of sickness, and though very weak and emaciated, never fallered in the discharge of his duty.
Maj. Edmund Berkeley did much to inspire the men with courage.
