The Proclamation of Gov. Letcher, published Saturday, appeals with the voice of the trumpet to the patriots of Virginia to rally to her defence.--His recital of our wrongs must arouse the spirit of the most selfish.
There must be a hearty response to his powerful appeal, for the Virginians of this day have proved by their deeds in battle that they are worthy descendants of their noble ancestors.
