Stealing money.

--A man named Wilson, alias Williams, snatched on Friday $175 from the hands of a countryman, near the Old Market, and ran off. On complaint being made at the Assistant Provost Marshal's office, a detective was sent in search of the thief, and succeeded in apprehending him. The latter did not have the money, but said he had left it with a Mrs. Schugerean, on 17th street. The latter is the same person in whose possession was found recently eight navy pistols, stolen from army officers. On being applied to she admitted having the money, but on the advice of a man in the same house refused to give it up. She and her adviser were then arrested, and, together with Wilson, alias Williams, were sent before Recorder Caskie, who continued the case until to-day. On the person of Wilson, alias Williams, was found $500 in money, and on that of the woman nearly $800.
