II and Henry have been taken by the land of the ranks of our company, and the watch we loved to mingle with them:
: That while we now submissively to the Divine will in removing from our midst these, our brethren in-arms, yet we cannot but mourn the loss of those who were kind in all their relations with us faithful in the discharge of all their duties, and willing to do and suffer in behalf of their country.
: That we, as a company, and as individuals do sincerely sympathise with the parents and friends of the deceased, and most cheerfully record our testimony, that they fell on the field of battle (Payatte C. H., September 10th, 1862,) while subtly and gallantly contending for the rights and liberties of their country.
: That the foregoing be published in the Richmond Dispatch and Whig, and copies be sent to the families of the deceased.
