Forging transportation tickets.

--Officer Richmond, of the Provost Marshal's office arrested on Thursday a man named Carroll, proprietor of an eating-house, corner of Cary and 14th streets, on the charge of being associated with one Holhurtz, living in Petersburg, Va., in the business of forging, and telling transportation tickets, with intent to defraud the Government. Carroll was taken before Commissioner Watson, under went an examination, and was sent to Petersburg for examination in conjunction with his confederate, Holburn Both were examined before the authorities there, and committed to jail for trial before the court-martial.
