Serious accident.

--On Wednesday last Mr. Cornell Bradley, owner of the large new machine shop in Manchester, had his right hand caught in the machinery, by which his thumb was pulled from its socket, exposing the sinews, after which his arm was broken in two places, and dreadfully crushed, necessitating its being amputated above the elbow. The owner of the above establishment had the misfortune not long since to have his shops burned down. He had but lately gotten them in operation, when he was afflicted as above related. He had made some valuable improvements in iron projectiles, and was engaged in manufacturing them on a large scale for the Government.
