Requests of soldiers.

--Col. John Foster Marshall, of the First South Carolina Rifle. Regiment in Virginia, left a will bequeathing $3,000 to the Deceases Seminary of the Protestant Episcopal Church, of Charleston, the like sum to the Church in Abbeville, and the like sum to the support and relief of the families of deserted soldiers of Abbeville District. Col. Augustus M. Smith, of Abbeville, S. G. who also fell at his post in Virginia bequeathed $10,000 for the families of soldier.
