On his recent trip to Tennessee

reviewed the army of the West at Murfreesboro

's and Withera's, with the artillery commands belonging to each, also passed in review.

of the command, and their staff officers, rode down the lines at full gallop.--The General of each division rode on the right of the President
, as their respective divisions were drawn up in review.
The men in open ranks stood with arms presented, the officers saluting, and the regimental bands playing, each band taking it up in succession, as the cortege passed.
