Accident to Gen. Ewell

--The public will regret to learn that Major-General Ewell, now in this city, met with a painful accident a few days since, which may confine him much longer to his room than would otherwise have been the case. While passing from one apartment of his lodgings to another, essaying the facility with which he could use the limb — a portion of which was lost in the second battle of Manassas--he stumbled and fell, the bandages gave way, and the recently joined flaps of the stump opened, causing a most serious wound. Surgical attendance was at hand, and every effort made to relieve the sufferer, to whom the accident, it is believed, will not prove fatal.
