An affair of honor.

--An affair of honor took place at the Springs, near the battle-field of Fredericksburg, on the 11th inst, between J. R. Harley, of Charleston, S. C., and Mr. Recester, of New Orleans, both members of the first company Washington Artillery, of New Orleans. Harley was the challenging party. The parties fought with horse pistols, at twenty paces. At the first shot H's pistol snapped, his antagonist's going off, but without effect. The seconds them refused to allow another exchange of shots. The demand for satisfaction was caused by some remarks made by Recester.
