The following official dispatch was received at the War Department yesterday morning:


Chattanooga, Jan. 5th, 1863.

To Gen. S. Copper, Adj't and Inspector General:
Sir:
--Retired from Murfreesboro' in perfect order. All the stores saved. About 4,000 Federal prisoners, 5,000 stand of small arms, and 94 cannon, brass and steel, have already been received here.
