Through the blockade

--The British steamship Carypso from Nassau, arrived at her wharf in this city at an early hour yesterday. She got in the neighborhood of the bar soon after dark, and between 8 and 9 o'clock the night being clear, she was discovered and chased by the Yankee Blockaders for about a half hour, during which time a large number of shot and shell was fired at her, and one of the last burst over the vessel, some of the fragments of which came on deck, but inflicted no injury on any one. The captain, pilot and all concerned, deserve great credit for the determined manner in which they pushed the ship safely into port through the fire of the enemy--Charleston Mercury.
