Accident on the State Road.

--The evening train on the State Road, which left at 7 P. M., bound for Chattanooga, ran off the track about five miles from this city. The accident was caused by the breaking of the axle of the tender. The ladies' car was thrown from the track and down an embankment of some five or six feet, and turned nearly over. It was unusually crowded with ladies and gentlemen, though most fortunately no one was killed. One lady had her arm broken. Several persons were badly bruised — some two or three in the back--while a considerable number were hurt more or less.--Atlanta Confederacy.
