Congressional summary.

In the Senate, Saturday, a resolution was adopted requesting the President to communicate copies of all orders sent to commanding officers of the trans- Mississippi Department requiring the military restrictions imposed upon the commerce forces the Rio Grande, and particularly upon the exhortation of cotton, to be revoked and annulled. House amendment to Senate bill authorizing the publication of the public laws and resolutions of Congress was concurred in.

In the House, late on Friday night, the bill was passed amending the Sequestrations law. Mr. Conrad moved to reconsider the vote by which the bill was passed which motion was considered and agreed to on Saturday morning, and the bill referred to the Judiciary Committee with instructions to strike out the 6th section.

The House then went into secret session for the consideration of the Tax bill, as it came from the Senate.
