Impressments South.

--The Government, during three or four days of last week, made a general descent upon all the sugar, rice, and molasses which could be found in the hands of wholesale dealers in Mason, Ga. The Telegraph says:

‘ Up to yesterday the seizures of sugar amounted to about 200 hogsheads, or about a million and a half in value, in current rates, or $14,000 worth, old style. What has been done in molasses and rice we do not know. No price is fixed upon the seized goods, as they are to be appraised in the terms of the impressment act. The impresses take it pretty easily, considering what profitable speculations this sort of business spools.
