Battle near Lake Providence.

Natchez, July 6.
--The Courtier says that a letter from a member of the Con Battery, dated last week, near Lake Providence, last, reports that a battle had just occurred, in which the enemy were severely punished, with the loss of 1,500 prisoners. The Battery came out of the fight without loss.
