No Complainant.

--We noticed in our last issue the particulars of a shooting scrape on 6th street, last Thursday afternoon, between Lieut. L. L. Bass, of the City Battalion, and some unknown party. After the difficulty Lieut. Bass learned that his antagonist was wounded, and immediately gave himself up to the civil authorities. He appeared before the Mayor on Friday, and again on Saturday; but as no one came forward to testify that any one had been wounded, and the police had heard nothing to induce them to believe that Lieut. Bass had committed an offence, he was discharged.
