Picks at work.

--Mr. R. G. Calcer, a stranger in this city, had his pocket relieved of a wallet containing $85 in Confederate money, while standing near the Post Office yesterday morning in conversation with other gentlemen.--He thinks the theft was perpetrated by one of two lads who had annoyed him to purchase the morning papers, and who saw his wallet, and knew in which pocket he had placed it.
