Union of Presbyterian Divisions.

--The committee representing members of the Old and New School division of the Presbyterian Church, which met at Lynchburg, Va., to consider the union of the two, has closed its sitting The Lexington (Va.) Gazette says:

‘ We have just had a conversation with a member of the committee, and are pleased to learn from him that the Conference was conducted in the happiest fraternal spirit, and that the result reached promises great good to these two important branches of the Christian Church. In voting upon the various point submitted for consideration, we learn that there was not in single instance a dissenting voice. The plan of union proposed by the committee must await the final action of the supreme judicatories of the Church, but there is, we understand, no doubt entertained of its ratification, as it is not only the unanimous work of the able men to whom it was committed, but is, as we understand, hailed with delight by all to whom it has been communicated.
