Throwing stones.

--Frequent complaints are made to the Mayor, of bad boys who threw stones in the streets, at all hours, regardless of any injury they may inflict on persons passing. The Mayor can do nothing but fine the parents of these lads; but persons who are injured or annoyed by them more than once will not be satisfied unless the lads themselves are punished. Every man in the city knows that throwing stones in the streets is a violation of the ordinances, and if he does not teach his children the importance of respecting law, and compel them to do so, he need expect nothing less than trouble and disgrace.
