Relieved.

--Yesterday morning a wounded soldier, who desired to perpetrate a joke, and at the same time trap a rogue, filled an old pocket-book with waste paper, exhibited it in a suspicious crowd, bragged that he had just received a large remittance from home, and promised a friend a merry time. Placing the wallet in his pocket, he joined a party in conversation at the corner of 9th and Main sts., and losing night of his bait, passed an hour or two pleasantly. When he again thought of the wallet he instantly felt for it, but soon discovered that nimbler fingers than his own had removed it. He enjoyed the joke with a relish, doubtless feeling thankful that what money he had was not in it.
