Captain Walker, (formerly of Louisville,) of Burnes's Artillery battery, of Morgan's command, was shot and killed in Atlanta, Ga., on Thursday night last, by a man named Bachelor.

Mrs. Gen. Jno. H. Morgan and Mrs. Gen. S. B. Buckner have been sojourning at the Yellow Sulphur Springs for some days, and are now at Coyner's.

During the firing at Chattanooga on Friday shells passed through the Baptist and Methodist Churches.

Mr. Portz, the French Vice-Consul, resident at Mobile, died in that city on the 27th ultimo.
