Bad Usage.

--William H. Retwood appeared before the Recorder yesterday to answer the charge of assaulting and boating Joseph Cohon. The evidence developed the following Cohen hired a servant girl from and treated her so badly that she ran of and returned to her master. Cohen, on hearing where, the girl was, went to Redwood and demanded her. Redwood refused to return the girl, but offered Cohen his band and the two months hire then due. This Cohen refused to receive, and words ensued between the parties. Redwood then ordered Cohen to leave his house, and gave him a "crack" over the head with a cane the Recorder dismissed the warrant.
