Stealing bacon.

--Henry, slave of the James River and Kanawha Company, was examined yesterday by the Recorder on the charge of stealing from a small sloop lying in the dock five pieces of bacon. Henry asserted that he had been given the meat by the Captain to sell for him; but his story was not believed, and he was ordered 39 lashes.
