The enemy's Movements in Mississippi.

--A letter from Canton, Miss., dated the 26th ult., says:

‘ Quite a number of small boats have passed down the Mississippi without loads. These boats are evidently intended to bring the soldiers down the Red, White, and other rivers, for the purpose of supplying the places of those who are being hurried North. Thus is Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana, being relieved by events at Chattanooga, where the backbone of the Yankee campaign appears to have been effectually crushed.--Their columns are staggering everywhere, and all that seems to be needed to prostrate them is to push them briskly before they recover from the shock. There will soon be nothing to keep our hosts from the west bank of the river, and I have no doubt they will be there in due season, while on this side there is every indication that we will not be laggards in seizing the golden opportunity.
