--A letter in the New York Herald
from Ravenwood, "West, Va.," gives the triumph of a virtuous "supporter of the Administration:"
It is now ascertained that the Hon. K. V. Whaley
is elected to Congress from this district, over Col. D. Frost
, the radical candidate, by six to seven hundred majority.
The result in this district is a well minted rebuke to the Wheeling wire pullers, who sought to defeat Mr. Whaley
by sheer lying.--Mr. Whaley
was a member of the last Congress, and gave the new State project his warm support.
