Search Warrants

are requisite for officers or others, before entering private houses in search of goods, and no citizen should permit any man to enter his premises and take away his property, without the party making the seizure first exhibits his legal authority for so doing. Individuals have rights, and the laws of the State point out the only mode of abridging those rights.
