A Nut for lawyers.

--The case of the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company against the Pennsylvania Coal Company, was decided a few days ago at Albany, New York. It was in favor of the plaintiffs, the damages being one-fourth of what they claimed. The case had been in court for nearly twenty years, and the law costs amounted to more than $200,000. So that if rivers were made to feed canals, as a shrewd individual once declared, one canal has been made to feed lawyers. We get our information from a late number of the New York World.
