False information.

It seems that the Yankees engaged in the late raid were misled by the information of refugees, that there was no obstacle to a swoop upon the city. We advise the Yankees not to believe all they hear. No one in this city, except the head of the Government, and his confidential officers, know anything of our military preparations worth knowing. The Government knows how to keep its own secrets. We only wish the Yankees had pushed their late enterprise a little further.
