Hustings Court

--Judge Lyons presiding, commenced its regular February term on yesterday, and transacted the following business:

A grand jury having been empaneled and sworn, received their charge and were sent out of Court, and after some time returned "true bills" upon nineteen indictments against individuals charged with different offences, and were then adjourned over until Monday next.

The Court then went into the trial of Jno. Murphy, indicted for stealing two coats from Brig.-Gen. Robert F. Hoke, and the evidence of witnesses having been given and the arguments of counsel delivered, the case was submitted to the jury, which returned a verdict of guilty, and assessed the term of the prisoner's confinement in the penitentiary at two years.
