Snow storm

--At 7 o'clock Saturday morning a heavy snow storm set in, which continued with little abatement until 11 o'clock; but, owing to the saturated condition of the earth from the rains of the previous night, the snow melted rapidly, and yesterday morning had entirely disappeared from the streets. The storm seems to have been general throughout the State, and caused some obstruction to railroad transportation. The sudden thaw, it is apprehended, will cause another freshet in the river.
